ABAP (Advanced Business Application
Programming) is a programming language for developing applications for
the SAP ECC system, a widely-installed business application subsystem.
It is currently positioned, alongside the more recently introduced Java,
as the language for programming the SAP Application Server, part of its
NetWeaver platform for building business applications. The syntax of
ABAP is somewhat similar to COBOL. As an ABAP consultant you fine tune
the SAP system to client requirements at a software code level. .
