In companies traditionally, Marketing creates sales forecasts for products or product groups. Material Planners, then create a material plan based upon these sales plans. The output of manufacturing planning is the input of manufacturing execution. Manufacturing produces the finished products and sub assemblies based upon the manufacturing plan. As an SAP PP consultant you need to understand the manufacturing execution process and configure it in SAP.
